In Flagler County, Florida, a man named Michael Noel was taken into custody after allegedly attaching a tracking device to his roommate's van, according to an affidavit from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office. The 46-year-old faces a charge of cyberstalking following the events that unfolded on Wednesday.

Noel and the woman had shared a residence since 2001, though she clarified that they were "just roommates" and not in a relationship. Earlier that day, she claimed he had evicted her from their shared home. Upon arriving at her father's house, she discovered a blue-and-black tracking device beneath the front of her van and destroyed it immediately.

The woman shared her suspicions with deputies, stating that she had long felt that Noel had been tracking her because he often called her when she was out and seemed to know her whereabouts. Text messages between them were also provided as evidence, where she confronted Noel with a photograph of the device, accusing him of monitoring her. Noel responded dismissively, demanding she return the tracker.

When questioned by deputies, Noel claimed he had loaned her money a few months earlier and had her sign an agreement allowing him to place the tracker on her vehicle. However, he couldn't produce a copy of this alleged document, and the woman firmly denied its existence.

Unable to provide further justification for his actions, Noel was arrested and transported to the Flagler County Jail, later securing release on a $1,000 bond.
