On May 6, Arizona State University marked a historic occasion as it celebrated its largest graduating class ever, with nearly 21,000 Sun Devils stepping into the next phase of their lives. Amidst the excitement, students and their families gathered on campus to commemorate this significant achievement.

Among them was Hannah Scharf, whose journey from Canada to ASU included competing for the gymnastics team and earning a master's degree in Organizational Leadership. "I'm incredibly proud to be here," she said, surrounded by loved ones. "The support I have today means everything."

Blanca, another graduate, reflected on the emotional journey of balancing her studies in Early Childhood Education with raising two children and working full-time. "It wasn't easy, but being here makes it all worth it," she shared.

Makaila, who completed her master's in Human Resources and Employment Law, expressed her joy at finally experiencing a traditional graduation ceremony after her undergraduate commencement was disrupted by the pandemic in 2020. "To celebrate with my fellow graduates today is truly special," she said.

Despite concerns about potential disruptions, the ceremony proceeded smoothly, allowing graduates like Tiffany Ticlo, also known as Miss Arizona, to reflect on their achievements and the opportunities provided by ASU. "It's surreal to be here with my peers celebrating our hard work," Ticlo remarked. "ASU's commitment to innovation and diversity has shaped us all."

As graduates move forward, they carry with them the experiences and values instilled by their alma mater, ready to make their mark on the world.
