ASU Nursing Students Join Forces with City of Phoenix

ASU nursing students have partnered with the City of Phoenix to assist people experiencing homelessness during the intense Arizona summer heat. Each week, a group of students dedicates time at Burton Barr Library, Phoenix’s 24/7 respite center, to provide care for the individuals using the facility. “We are out here doing vital signs and wound care, helping individuals who have been affected by the heat, and bringing them off the streets to hopefully get them some services and connect them with help,” explained Rachel Breslauer, an ASU nursing instructor.
