Allegations against Tracey Stewart, a former teacher's aide at Chino Valley Head Start, have deeply impacted the community, leaving many parents worried about their children's safety. Surveillance footage not only shows Stewart spanking a non-verbal child and forcefully seating her in a chair, but also reveals additional incidents where she sprays cleaning solution in children's faces and smacks a boy with napkins.

Blanca Aguiar, one of the parents involved in the lawsuit, recounted that her son was aggressively pushed by Stewart, as captured in footage where she shoves him on the back of the head. Another clip shows Stewart jerking his head backward without warning. Nicole Stroh, another parent, was shocked to find out that Stewart had pulled a mat from under her daughter, causing the child to fall and hit her head.

Police reports describe Stewart's conduct as physically and verbally aggressive, and her behavior has left emotional scars on the children. One was diagnosed with PTSD and now has night terrors, while others have shown signs of emotional and behavioral regression. Their families, still grappling with these effects, believe that the daycare center is complicit, accusing management of failing to protect the children and covering up the abuse.

Solomon Radner, attorney for the plaintiffs, emphasized that accountability must be enforced by making negligence costly. Although Stewart was placed on leave and eventually terminated, he criticized the Yavapai County Attorney's Office for not filing more serious charges.

The childcare facility insists that child safety is a priority, but for the mothers involved, the damage is already done. They are pursuing justice through the courts, hoping to prevent similar incidents in the future.
