TAMPA, Fla. - Federal prosecutors announced that a Tampa man was part of a significant drug trafficking network, moving methamphetamine and fentanyl from Mexico to Tampa and Orlando.

A U.S. District Judge found Enock Edouard guilty of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute, and criminal contempt after a bench trial. Evidence presented in court detailed how the network operated between 2021 and 2023, transporting drugs from Mexico to California hidden in car tires and then moving them to Orlando and Tampa.

During the trial, a co-conspirator described Edouard as "the only person between me and the cartels," estimating that Edouard sold him more than 300 kilograms of methamphetamine in less than 10 months.

Hundreds of pages of evidence, including wiretap transcripts, texts, and photos, showed how investigators built the case. Documents detailed one surveillance operation in March 2023, where investigators watched Edouard leave his downtown Tampa apartment to sell meth to a man named Cameron Mosley at a Waffle House on Westshore Boulevard. Following the meetup, Tampa Police Department officers attempted to pull over Mosley, who fled, leading officers on a chase through South Tampa with a TPD helicopter overhead.

Mosley reportedly threw meth out of his vehicle window during the chase, with evidence photos showing the drugs on the roadside. Investigators arrested Mosley the next day.

Shortly after, investigators arrested Edouard, who was in Las Vegas at the time. A search of his downtown Tampa apartment revealed fentanyl and guns.

Ultimately, investigators seized 15 guns, two hand grenades, and more than 25 kilos of meth from Edouard and his co-conspirators. The operation was a joint effort between the FBI, TPD, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, and a specialized task force.

Edouard's sentencing date has not yet been set, but he faces a minimum of 10 years in prison. This case underscores the extensive efforts by law enforcement to dismantle major drug trafficking operations and the serious consequences for those involved.
