Open to the public, this rare display of military prowess is a highlight of the annual Special Operations Forces (SOF) Week conference. On Tuesday, May 7, a rehearsal will provide a sneak peek of the action.

Dubbed the "Battle of the Bay," this demonstration features over 170 USSOCOM and international service members from 10 nations in a mock scenario defending Tampa from "hostile invaders." Expect helicopters, boats, drones, ATVs, and scuba divers in action, offering a glimpse into real-world mission operations.

Residents in downtown Tampa should be aware of potential noise disruptions during the event. For those sensitive to loud noises, ear protection or avoiding the area is advised.

Traffic around the Convention Center will be affected on both May 7 and May 8 from 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. Boat access to the Seddon Channel will also be restricted.

For optimal viewing, head to the Harbour Island Bridge, Convention Center area, Riverwalk, or Bayshore Blvd. Space is limited, so arrive early to secure a spot.
