Mike Heslin, celebrated for his roles in television series like “Lioness,” passed away unexpectedly due to a cardiac event following a week-long hospitalization, as announced by his husband, recording artist Scotty Dynamo, on Instagram.

In a poignant tribute shared on Friday, Dynamo eloquently described Heslin as “brilliant, selfless, talented, and a real-life guardian angel.” He fondly recalled their relationship, emphasizing Heslin’s steadfast support during Dynamo’s battle with cancer, noting him as the go-to person for good news and a source of strength for advice and comfort.

“Michael, meeting you was the best thing to ever happen to me,” Dynamo expressed, grappling with the profound loss of his beloved husband. He shared their dreams of starting a family and highlighted Heslin’s legacy as an organ donor, his organs benefiting four families, a testament to his immense generosity.

Reflecting on their curtailed future plans, Dynamo conveyed both sorrow and gratitude for the time they cherished together, pledging to honor Heslin’s memory each day.

Actor Kimiko Glenn, a longtime friend of Heslin’s, also paid homage on Instagram, underscoring their deep bond and shared journey from childhood theater to adulthood in New York and beyond.

Heslin’s creative footprint extended beyond acting; he flourished as a director, producer, and writer, co-founding Well-Versed Entertainment post-graduation from Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
