"Look, I’m in the fourth quarter of the football game now, in life and in showbiz. It’s just a fact. So I can reveal now I picked the wrong thing to do with my life," he remarked honestly.

Corbett delved into the roots of his dissatisfaction, tracing it back to childhood where he developed a strong aversion to authority figures. "Even as a child, I hated being told what to do by any authority figure," he revealed, emphasizing the inherent frustrations of conforming to the demands of acting. "I chose a career path that dictated my entire professional life—'Stand here, say this, wear this, look this way, say it faster, cut your hair like this,'" he lamented.

Painting a vivid picture of the tedium he experiences on movie sets, Corbett drew a striking analogy to waiting in a doctor's office. "Have you ever sat in a waiting room for like an hour and thought, 'What the heck?' For me, that’s what making a movie is like, because I’m not part of any creative process," he expressed, highlighting a significant source of his disillusionment.

Despite enjoying the privileges of fame—financial prosperity, luxurious living, and adoration from fans—Corbett acknowledged a persistent void in his creative fulfillment. "I’ve made a lot of money. I live in a beautiful home. People recognize me everywhere I go. I’m embraced by the world," he admitted. "But in terms of a fulfilling creative work life, I haven’t written a single line. I haven’t crafted a joke that brought laughter. So, on that level, it’s been unfulfilling."

"I’ve come to accept that this is simply what I do," he reflected pragmatically.
