Aydin Brown, the 14-year-old American boy who went missing for three days after disembarking from a Caribbean Princess cruise ship at a German port, was fortunately found safe on Saturday, according to official reports and a family spokesperson.

Brown had been traveling with his grandmother aboard the cruise and departed the ship during its scheduled stop at Rostock-Warnemünde on Thursday morning, authorities confirmed.

In a statement, Rostock city police disclosed that Brown was located around 10 p.m. on Saturday in Brandenburg, approximately 120 miles south of the port. The breakthrough came after exhaustive investigations and technical analysis, which enabled the Rostock criminal police to pinpoint his whereabouts near Potsdam.

Brandenburg, where Brown was found, lies west of Berlin. A family member later confirmed the teenager's safe recovery on Saturday night.

Reports indicated that Brown was in the company of a 19-year-old individual he had arranged to meet. Rostock police emphasized that no criminal activity was suspected in connection with the incident.

Earlier on Saturday, state and local authorities had circulated three new photos of Brown as part of their ongoing search efforts. Security footage provided two of these photos, showing Brown interacting with an unidentified man. Authorities sought to identify this person to aid in locating the missing teen.

In response to these developments, Princess Cruises issued a statement late Saturday expressing relief at Brown's reunion with his family. The cruise line extended its appreciation to German authorities for their swift response and effective efforts in locating Brown following his departure from Warnemünde.

Princess Cruises had earlier stated that Brown's grandmother disembarked from the ship on Thursday night during the initial stages of the search, while the company facilitated Brown's mother's journey to Germany to assist with the search and reunion efforts.

According to CruiseMapper, a cruise ship tracking site, the 12-day voyage was traversing the Baltic Sea, with scheduled stops including Copenhagen, Denmark, and Stockholm, Sweden. Departing from Southampton, England, on June 30, the cruise was slated to conclude on July 12.

The incident attracted attention due to its unusual circumstances and the swift mobilization of authorities and family members to ensure Brown's safe return following his unexpected departure from the cruise ship.
