On Tuesday, former President Donald Trump unequivocally expressed his readiness to engage in debates with Vice President Kamala Harris, indicating that he would "absolutely" welcome the opportunity. This statement was made during a press call organized by the Republican National Committee (RNC), where Trump also conveyed his willingness to participate in multiple debates with Harris.

While he had previously agreed to debate President Joe Biden in two scheduled confrontations—one in June on CNN and another in September on ABC—Biden's subpar performance in the June debate prompted him to withdraw and endorse Harris for the Democratic presidential nomination. In his press call, Trump highlighted his initial commitment to debating Biden but expressed an interest in extending this engagement to Harris. "I agreed to debate with Joe Biden. But I want to debate her and she’ll be no different because they have the same policies," Trump stated.
