Honda's current model pages list a moonroof as standard from a named trim upward on the Civic Sedan, Accord, CR-V, HR-V and Pilot, and as an available feature on the Ridgeline. If you are sorting Honda models with moonroof glass before a quote or a used purchase, the trim matters as much as the model name.

The roof is only one of the features built into or around the glass. The others are a heated strip where the wipers rest, a rain sensor that sets wiper speed, washer jets built into the wiper arms, darkened rear panes and a head-up display. Most of them change which replacement pane fits, so a feature list is the right place to start any quote on our Honda glass replacement page.

Glass in a collision repair raises its own questions about who orders which part. Knowing the features first makes those answers easier to check.

Honda Models With Moonroof Glass, From Civic Sedan to Pilot

Each row describes one model year. A 2026 page speaks for the 2026 car, so a 2021 Accord or a 2019 CR-V needs its own trim check. Dealer lists for these same models sometimes print different moonroof trim levels from the factory pages. Take the trim from the window sticker or the purchase paperwork, then compare it with the line for that year.

A line that reads "standard on SE and above" sets a floor. On the 2026 Accord, the SE has the roof, and so does every trim ranked above it. The floor sits at the EX on the 2027 CR-V and at the Sport Hybrid on the 2026 Civic Sedan. The 2027 HR-V line is narrower, since it names the EX-L alone.

The three-row SUV is the one model in this group with a panoramic moonroof, standard from the TrailSport upward for 2026. The other five lines all use the name one-touch power moonroof. A roof-glass order starts with which of those two roof names the car carries.

The 2026 Ridgeline offers its one-touch power moonroof as an available feature. That word means some trucks carry the roof and some leave the factory with a solid top. The photo beside the line shows an RTL, but the line itself ties the roof to no trim, so the owner of the truck checks the sticker or simply looks up.

If the roof pane itself is cracked or shattered, the Honda sunroof glass replacement page covers that work. The broader sunroof glass service page explains how roof glass is handled on any make, and the Arizona and Florida service-area pages show where the work is done.

Three-Row Pilot and Odyssey Against the Compact Models

Each three-row model pairs its roof or body glass with a second glass feature tied to its size. For 2026, the bigger SUV adds a head-up display on its top trims to the panoramic moonroof. The 2027 minivan builds darkened rear windows into a shape that wraps around to the back of the body.

That wraparound shape matters for an order. A pane that turns a corner to hide the sliding-door track has a more specific shape than a flat one. A quote for it needs the model year, the side that broke and whether the pane sits ahead of the corner or on the tailgate side of it.

The compact models make their own case for glass. Honda credits the 2026 Civic Sedan's low, wide frame and its expansive glass areas for both the look from outside and the view from the driver's seat. On that sedan, the glass is part of the design brief, and every large pane is a large part to match.

A car's glass comes in two kinds of fitting. The windshield and back glass are bonded: each sits in a bead of urethane laid on the body flange around its opening. A door window rides in a channel and moves up and down on a regulator inside the door. Those two kinds of glass are replaced in two different ways, so a quote should name the kind it covers.

For a broken side window that moves, the Honda door glass replacement page covers the job, and the post on features hidden in door glass shows what else a side pane can carry.

The Heated Wiper Zone in the Pilot Manual

The 2025 Pilot owner's manual describes a heated windshield button. Pressing it deices the windshield at the wiper park area, the strip where the blades rest, while the power mode is ON. An asterisk on the section heading marks a feature that some 2025 versions of the SUV lack, so check for the button before assuming the glass is heated.

The heat is aimed at that lower strip, where ice and blades collect. A thin heater is built into the bottom band of the glass and wired through a connector at the pane's edge. A replacement windshield for an SUV with the button has to carry that heater and a matching connector. One without the button takes a pane without them.

Two timing rules apply. Press the button and the heated windshield switches itself off after 15 minutes. With the power mode ON and the outside air below 39°F (4°C), the system may also turn on by itself and run for up to 15 minutes. If you find the strip warming on a cold start without touching anything, that second rule is at work.

A caution about power comes with it. The system draws a lot of current, so switch it off as soon as the glass is deiced. Running it for a long time with the engine idling can weaken the battery and make the next start hard. The habit that follows is short: clear the ice, turn the button off and drive.

The button also matters when you sell or buy a used 2025 model. A heated wiper zone is a windshield feature built into the glass, so a seller who lists it is describing the pane as much as the cabin. Like the moonroof, the heated zone comes on some versions and not on others, so ask about it before you price a windshield.

Rain Sensing and Smart Wipers by Model

Some 2025 Pilots run rain-sensing wipers from a rainfall sensor. The wiper section of the owner's manual splits that year into versions with manual intermittent wipers and versions with automatic intermittent wipers. On the automatic versions, pushing the lever down to AUTO makes the blades sweep once and then switch into automatic mode.

From there the wipers run intermittently, at low speed or at high speed, and stop, in step with the amount of rain the sensor detects. A light drizzle gets an occasional sweep. A downpour gets the high setting without the driver touching the stalk.

A rain sensor usually lives behind the rear-view mirror. It clips to a bracket glued to the inner glass and reads the windshield through a clear gel coupling pad. A replacement windshield for a vehicle with AUTO needs that bracket in place, and the sensor has to sit against the new glass the way it sat against the old one.

The quickest check is the stalk itself. On a 2025 model of the SUV, an AUTO position on the wiper lever marks the automatic version and the sensor that goes with it. A lever with intermittent settings and no AUTO marks the manual version.

The 2027 HR-V takes a different route to clear glass. Its model page describes fluid-conserving smart wipers that feed washer fluid through the wiper arms in place of a wide spray. Those parts live in the arms and the hoses that feed them, and they put nothing on the glass.

Keep the two systems apart when you describe the car for a quote. A rain sensor is a windshield question, because its bracket is part of the pane you order. Arm-fed washers are a wiper-arm question, so on the small crossover that feature leaves the choice of windshield alone.

Dark Rear Panes on the Odyssey and HR-V

Honda's 2027 pages for the HR-V and the Odyssey both describe darkened rear glass. On the HR-V, rear privacy glass keeps items stored in the cargo area out of sight. On the 2027 Odyssey, the darkened rear windows do a second job by hiding the track the sliding doors run on.

The dark glass on these two models covers cargo on one and hardware on the other. When one of those panes breaks, the replacement has to match the darkness of the panes beside it, or the car shows one light window in a dark row. Order by side and position, and say in the request that the glass is darkened. On both models the darkening comes with the vehicle from the factory, so it belongs on the parts order as much as the roof does.

Back glass often carries more than its tint. Thin defroster lines are printed on the inside and fed with power at the edges, and some back glass adds antenna lines as well. Those lines are part of the pane, so a quote for back glass on either model should confirm which of them the car has.

A darkened pane hides what is behind it from outside, and that is the whole point Honda makes for both models. The crossover keeps bags in the cargo area out of view, and the van keeps the door track out of view. When you describe a broken rear pane, say which of those two jobs the glass was doing, because it tells the person matching the part exactly where the pane sat.

Where Honda Offers the Head-Up Display

On the 2026 Pilot, the Head-Up Display is standard on the Elite and the Black Edition. Honda presents the available display as a way to keep speed, directions and incoming calls in your line of sight, so your eyes stay on the road ahead.

That line of sight runs through the windshield, which is why a display belongs in a glass conversation. An SUV on either of those two trims has a windshield question that a lower trim may not. Our post on head-up display windshields explains what the display changes when the windshield is replaced.

A 2026 model can stack several glass features at once: the panoramic roof from TrailSport up, and the display on the Elite and Black Edition. Each one is a separate line on the order. The display line names those two trims only, so for any other trim or year, read the sticker before assuming the car has it.

The heated wiper strip and the rain sensor come from the 2025 manual, while the roof and display lines come from the 2026 model page. Those are two model years. Confirm each feature on the car in front of you instead of carrying one year's list over to the other.

Matching a Feature List to the Glass You Order

A feature list turns into a short set of questions, and each answer narrows the pane. Work through them with the car parked in front of you.

  1. Which roof does it have? Honda's pages name a panoramic moonroof for the Pilot and a one-touch power moonroof for the others, and the trim line for the car's model year tells you which to expect.
  2. Is there a heated windshield button? On a 2025 Pilot, the button marks a windshield with a heated strip at the wiper park area and a connector at its edge.
  3. Does the wiper lever have an AUTO position? On that same model year, it marks the rain sensor and the bracket it needs on the glass.
  4. Is there a head-up display? For 2026 it comes standard on the Elite and Black Edition of the three-row SUV.
  5. Which rear panes are darkened, and which side broke? The crossover and the minivan both build darkened glass into the rear.
  6. For a door pane, which door? Driver or passenger, front or rear, since each moving pane is its own part.

Features on the crossover's wiper arms can stay off the list, since they sit outside the glass. Everything else on it describes the pane itself. One model's glass can change from year to year and trim to trim, so we use the VIN to match the exact part once those answers are in.

Write your answers down with the model year and trim from the sticker, then start a quote on the Honda glass replacement page. If the broken pane is a door window, have the door position ready and book door glass replacement. A technician comes to wherever the car is parked.

Honda moonroof and glass feature questions

Which Honda sedan has a sunroof?

Two sedans in Honda's lineup carry one, the Civic Sedan and the Accord, and both pages call it a one-touch power moonroof rather than a sunroof. The Civic Sedan page's sample car, a Sport Touring Hybrid, shows it, and the Accord page's sample is a Touring Hybrid. If a listing names only the model, the window sticker settles which trim, and so which roof, the car has.

Which Honda has a panoramic moonroof?

Among the six models Honda's pages cover here, only the Pilot uses the panoramic name, for 2026 on the TrailSport and above. Honda's pages do not rank its roofs, so there is no best one to name. A Pilot below TrailSport is not covered by that line, which means its roof, if any, comes from the sticker, not the page.

Does the Honda Ridgeline come with a moonroof?

Only as an available feature. Honda's 2026 Ridgeline page says available, so some trucks leave the factory with a solid roof. The page's photo shows an RTL, yet its moonroof line names no trim, which is why a used truck listing that is silent about the roof needs a look at the truck or its sticker before anyone orders roof glass.

Does the heated windshield on a Honda Pilot warm the whole glass?

Honda's 2025 Pilot manual describes it as deicing the windshield at the wiper park area, the strip where the blades rest, and only while the power mode is ON. The section carries a footnote that the feature is not available on all models. The manual makes no claim that the rest of the glass is heated.
