Oakland Park began as Floranada in 1925, a name made from Florida and Canada, and took its current name in 1929. It covers about eight square miles on both sides of I-95, from North Andrews Gardens to Royal Palm Isles, and we come to all of it.

Why windshields crack here

  1. Work yards along I-95

Oakland Park has whole business districts on the I-95 corridor, full of warehouses, contractors and auto shops. Trucks leaving those yards drag sand and gravel onto Prospect Road and Andrews Avenue.

  2. Dixie Highway and the rail line

The Florida East Coast tracks run beside Dixie Highway through downtown. Every crossing bunches traffic, and stones from rough pavement at the tracks land on the windshields behind.

  3. Storm season

June through October brings near-daily afternoon storms, and the hurricane season runs into November. Wind-blown limbs and hard rain are what usually finish off a windshield that already had a chip.

Questions about your car in Oakland Park? Call (877) 994-5277, answered 24/7, or text a photo to (877) 350-5962.

Do I pay a deductible for a new windshield in Oakland Park?

Not with comprehensive coverage, because the deductible does not apply to windshield damage in Florida. A broken door window, back glass or sunroof uses the deductible your policy sets. We look over the policy with you before anything is set.

Can you replace glass on my work van or company truck?

Yes. Vans, pickups and box trucks get done in the yard or at the job site. If you run several vehicles, ask about our fleet service so one contact handles the scheduling.

My car has a camera on the windshield. Will it still work?

Many newer cars use a camera behind the mirror for lane and braking features. When yours needs calibration after the new glass, we tell you at the quote and include it in the plan.

Do you come to Wilton Manors, Fort Lauderdale and Pompano Beach too?

Yes. All three are next door to Oakland Park and each has its own page. Send your address with the quote and we confirm the visit.
