Bang AutoGlass in Sanibel

Auto glass service in Sanibel.

Sanibel is a barrier island of about 6,400 people, tied to the mainland by the three-mile Sanibel Causeway at Punta Rassa. We come to every part of it, from the lighthouse at Point Ybel along Periwinkle Way and the Gulf Drives to Blind Pass at the Captiva end.

Common causes of a cracked windshield here

  1. The drive to the island

Every trip on or off Sanibel runs over the causeway and onto McGregor Boulevard or Summerlin Road, where a stone from a passing truck can chip the glass.

  2. Island storms

Hurricane Ian broke the causeway in 2022 and cut the island off from the mainland. Smaller storms still throw branches and palm fronds into parked cars.

  3. Work trucks on island roads

Rebuilding after Ian has brought steady work-truck traffic onto Sanibel's roads, and gravel from job sites ends up on the pavement.

Where we meet you

Your driveway, office lot or garage in Sanibel.

We work in home driveways, condo lots and rental-house parking off the Gulf Drives and Periwinkle Way. Room to open both front doors is all it takes.

Public beach lots run on paid parking, so a home or condo spot is easier for everyone. At a condo, check with the manager and tell us the building and space number.

  • Installs Monday to Saturday, 8am–6pm.

Can you come to Sanibel the same day I call?

Sometimes. It depends on the schedule and the drive over the causeway, so call early in the day if you can. We confirm the time with you before we head out.

Can you replace my windshield at a beach park?

We'd rather not. Sanibel's beach lots charge for parking and spaces are tight. A driveway, a condo lot or the place you're staying works much better.

I'm renting a house this week. Can you come there?

Yes, if the owner or manager allows work in the driveway. Book with the rental address and leave a phone number you'll answer on the island.

Does my deductible apply to a windshield on Sanibel?

With comprehensive coverage, no: in Florida, the deductible does not apply to windshield damage. Door, rear and sunroof glass follow the deductible your policy sets. We look at your policy with you before booking. Florida windshield law.
