  2. Two bridges to the mainland

    Sunny Isles Boulevard and the William Lehman Causeway both cross open water to the mainland. Crosswinds there move grit and debris into traffic.

  3. Ocean salt and hurricane gusts

    Ocean wind leaves salt on the glass most days, and hurricane season brings gusts that throw palm fronds and loose debris. A cracked windshield won’t keep that rain out of the cabin.
