It feeds Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist and forward collision warning, and many Alfa Romeo builds add a rain sensor beside it. Forward camera calibration on an Alfa Romeo
Any time the windshield on a camera-equipped Alfa Romeo Giulia or Stelvio is replaced, the forward camera has to be calibrated before Lane Keep Assist and collision warning count as reliable. We line that calibration up with the Alfa Romeo windshield appointment, so you know in advance whether it needs a second stop.
Depending on the model, the Alfa Romeo camera is aimed with a board set at a measured distance ahead of the nose, or relearned during a drive along roads with crisp lane paint. Where your parking area cannot host the board, the plan changes before any glass is cut.

Alfa Romeo windshield coverage in Arizona and Florida
Florida waives the comprehensive deductible for windshields, so a Giulia or Stelvio owner there does not pay it on the glass. Arizona has insurers offer full glass coverage, and a Giulia or Stelvio policy that includes it pays the windshield in full. An Alfa Romeo windshield visit
Once the VIN is read, we meet the Alfa Romeo at home or at work. The mirror cover, camera housing trim and cowl come off, the cracked Giulia or Stelvio windshield is cut away, and the new glass is laid into urethane with the camera bracket in Alfa's position. The camera is then calibrated where the procedure can be done on site, and you hear when the car is ready to drive.
