McLaren builds its cars around a carbon fibre tub, which lets the 720S use unusually slim windshield pillars for a wide, clear view. On the Artura, the windshield also carries a forward camera mounted high on the glass for lane departure warning and road sign recognition. The Senna's windscreen is Gorilla Glass, part of its weight-saving glasshouse.
Every McLaren windshield is a low-volume part matched to one model. Your VIN traces the exact screen, including the Artura's camera bracket, and the visit is booked once it arrives.

McLaren Artura camera calibration
The McLaren Artura's electrified architecture brings more driver assistance than earlier McLarens, with lane departure warning and road sign recognition reading through a camera high on the windshield, plus full-speed adaptive cruise and automatic high beams on equipped cars. After a new Artura windshield, that camera is calibrated, and we plan it with the McLaren glass.
The Artura procedure runs from a diagnostic tool, using an aiming board ahead of the nose or a drive along clearly painted lanes. If your garage or street cannot accommodate either, a different Artura plan is agreed before the old windshield is removed.

McLaren windshield coverage in Arizona and Florida
A Florida Artura or 720S with comprehensive gets its windshield claim handled without the deductible. In Arizona, insurers must make full glass coverage available, and a McLaren windshield is settled entirely when the owner opted into it. The McLaren policy is looked over in a free coverage check ahead of the visit, filing help follows, and the insurer receives our invoice.

A McLaren windshield visit
With the screen in hand, we meet the McLaren at your home or private garage. The surrounding trim is eased off the carbon tub, the cracked Artura or 720S windshield is sliced from its bond, and the replacement is laid onto fresh urethane with any camera bracket where McLaren set it. An Artura is then calibrated before handover where the procedure can be done on site.
