Why windshields crack here

  1. Grit on the glass

Fine sand settles on the windshield and the wipers drag it across, leaving the glass pitted and hazy over the years.

  2. Trips to the mainland

Errands mean Manatee Avenue into Bradenton and often I-75 beyond it, and highway debris rides home on the glass.

  3. Storm season

Milton damaged the rebuilt City Pier in 2024, and storms like it throw shingles, palm fronds and sand at anything parked outside.

Auto glass in Anna Maria: what people ask us.

Questions about your car in Anna Maria? Call (877) 994-5277, answered 24/7, or text a photo to (877) 350-5962.

Do I pay a deductible for a windshield in Anna Maria?

No, provided your policy carries comprehensive coverage: in Florida, the deductible does not apply to windshield damage. Door, rear and sunroof glass keep the deductible your policy sets. We go through your policy with you before booking.

Can you replace the windshield at a vacation rental?

Yes, when the car is yours or its owner agrees. Park it in the rental’s driveway if you can, and check the house rules about vehicle work.

My windshield looks hazy in the sun. Is it worth replacing?

Sand pitting scatters light, so glare gets worse driving into a low sun or at night. Send us a photo, and we’ll tell you whether a new windshield makes sense.

Do you cover Bradenton Beach as well?

Yes. Bradenton Beach, at the south end of the island, has its own page, and so does Bradenton across the water.
