Where the cracks come from

  1. Sand on Gulf Drive

Wind blows beach sand across Gulf Drive, and passing cars lift it into the glass, pitting it over time and starting chips.

  2. The Cortez Bridge

Every car coming over from the mainland at this end of the island crosses the bridge, and slow traffic there leaves no room to dodge debris.

  3. Gulf storms

Helene’s surge in 2024 buried stretches of Gulf Drive in sand, and every storm season blows debris into cars parked near the water.

Does a Bradenton Beach windshield claim use my deductible?

Not with comprehensive coverage, since in Florida the deductible does not apply to windshield damage. Door, rear and sunroof glass do use it. We confirm your coverage before booking the visit.

I’m on vacation and my windshield cracked. Can you help?

Yes, if the car is yours or you have the owner’s go-ahead. A rental car normally has to go through the rental company, so call them before you book.

Do you come over the Cortez Bridge from the mainland?

Yes. We come to the car on the island, so you don’t have to drive it anywhere. On busy weekends, allow for bridge traffic when you pick a time.

Do you also cover Anna Maria and Bradenton?

Yes. Anna Maria, at the north end of the island, and Bradenton on the mainland both have their own pages.
