The pane is not sitting in a fixed aperture, so alignment, sealing and clearance are verified through the roof's full travel rather than checked once with the top up. When this glass breaks, granules go into the roof stowage well and down among the linkages, and that has to be cleared, because glass in a folding roof does not stay where it landed.

What Is Printed and Bonded Into an Infiniti Rear Pane
