The Polestar 2 has a full-length fixed panoramic glass roof made of acoustic laminated glass, which lowers cabin noise and blocks UV, and with the Plus pack a Polestar symbol is projected onto it. It does not open. The Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 also use large glass roofs shaped to their own bodies.
Because the glass is laminated, a crack tends to stay in place. The whole fixed panel is replaced with the same acoustic laminated type, bonded to the body and water-tested so the cabin stays quiet and dry.

We protect the Polestar seats and headliner, release the trim around the roof and cut the cracked panel out along its bond line. The new acoustic laminated panel is primed, seated flush with the roofline and bonded, then water-tested along every edge.
