Cadillac windshields

Three things that change a Cadillac windshield.

We replace Cadillac windshields in driveways and parking lots in the Phoenix and Tucson areas and near Jacksonville, Orlando, West Palm Beach, Tampa and Miami. The VIN shows which of these your car carries.

  1. A front camera mount

    Adaptive cruise, lane keeping and Super Cruise read the road through a camera fixed to the windshield behind the rearview mirror. The new glass carries its bracket, and GM calls for calibrating the camera once the windshield is in.

  2. Head-up display windshields

    Cadillac’s manual says the windshield is part of the head-up display system and has to be installed to GM’s alignment, or the image looks out of focus. A car with a HUD takes the HUD version of the glass.

  3. A rain sensor up top

    With Rainsense wipers, a sensor near the top center of the windshield reads how much water is on the glass and sets the wiper speed. It goes onto the new windshield, and we check the wipers respond before we leave.

A lane keeping warning came on after my new windshield. Why?

Usually it means the front camera still needs calibrating to the new glass. On a Cadillac windshield job we calibrate in the same visit where the procedure can be done on site. Should a warning appear after we leave, call (877) 994-5277 and we’ll check it.
