  1. Challenger glass drops when the door opens

    On a Challenger, Dodge’s Smart Glass function lowers the side window a little when the door opens and raises it into the seal when it shuts, using a switch in the door latch. After fitting new glass, we open and close the door to check that it still happens.

  2. Two doors or four on the new Charger

    The current Charger started as a two-door coupe and has since added a four-door sedan. A sedan has rear door glass that a coupe doesn’t, so we confirm the body style along with the VIN.

Most door windows are tempered glass. When one breaks, it bursts into small cubes, and a lot of them fall down inside the door. Until it’s replaced, the car is open to theft and the weather.

    Front or rear, driver or passenger: each door takes its own glass, in the tint shade your car came with. Some cars use laminated or frameless door glass, and we confirm which yours has before we book.

  2. Broken glass vacuumed out

    We take the inside door panel off and vacuum the glass out of the door, then clean the seat, the floor and the door pocket. Pieces left inside a door can rattle as you drive and scratch the new window.

  3. Replaced where the car is parked

    At your home or work, so nobody has to drive around with an open window. Same-day appointments are available in most areas.

  4. Lifetime workmanship warranty

    Our workmanship and defects in the glass are covered for as long as you own the vehicle, and warranty visits come to you too.

Why does my Challenger window move when I open the door?

That’s by design. Dodge’s Smart Glass function lowers the glass slightly as the door opens and lifts it back into the seal when the door closes. When we replace a Challenger window, we check that this still works before we leave.

My Challenger window stopped dropping. Is it the glass?

Usually not. Dodge ties the drop to a switch in the door latch, and a latch fault can stop it. That’s a repair for a mechanic or a dealer rather than a glass job, and we’ll tell you if that’s what we find.

Can I drive with a broken Dodge side window?

You can, carefully. Clear loose glass off the seat, tape plastic over the opening and keep the car out of the rain. Send us a photo and we’ll get the part ordered.

Does insurance pay for Dodge door glass?
