What we check on a Dodge windshield.

We install Dodge windshields in driveways and parking lots around Tucson and Phoenix in Arizona and Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, Tampa and West Palm Beach in Florida. The VIN answers these questions before the glass is ordered.

  1. Which camera hangs by the mirror

    Stellantis notes that a 2016 Charger or 2020 Durango has one of two mirror cameras, not both: a forward camera for the lane and collision warnings, or a SmartBeam camera for the adaptive lighting. On the Charger, a new windshield is a calibration event for either one. On the Durango, only the forward camera is listed, so we check which yours has by VIN.

  2. Sensor pads that come with the glass

    On these cars the humidity sensor bracket is part of the windshield and isn’t sold on its own. A rain sensor may need a fresh one-time gel pad, and we fit one when it does.

  3. Rain sensor on every Hornet

    Dodge fitted rain-sensing wipers to all Hornet models, so a Hornet windshield always has a spot for that sensor.

  4. Head-up display on the new Charger

    The current Charger can project an augmented head-up display onto the windshield. Your VIN shows whether yours has one, and we check it before the glass is ordered.

How it works

How a windshield replacement goes, from crack to clear glass.

  1. Send the year and model. Online, on the phone or by text. We pull the windshield by VIN and tell you if a camera recalibration is part of the job. Using insurance? We check your coverage and help you file your claim.

  2. Swap the glass where it’s parked. Mon–Sat at your home or work, the damaged windshield is cut out and OEM-quality glass is set in fresh urethane with the camera bracket and sensor pads in place.

  3. Recalibrate if needed. If a forward camera rides on the glass, it’s recalibrated before we leave, where the procedure can be done on site. The urethane needs to set, so your technician says when the Dodge is safe to drive.

A lane warning message showed up after my Dodge got a new windshield. Why?

The forward camera behind the glass may not have been recalibrated to the new windshield. Stellantis lists both a new windshield and lane warning complaints as reasons to recalibrate. If it happens after our install, call (877) 994-5277 and we’ll look at it.

What does a Dodge windshield replacement cost?

A Charger with a forward camera, a rain sensor or a head-up display takes pricier glass than an older Dodge with none of them, so the year and model set the price. You get a free quote with the whole amount before you choose a time. With insurance, your share can be $0 out of pocket, depending on the policy.

Is a Dodge windshield covered by insurance in Arizona?

Will I pay a deductible on a Dodge windshield in Florida?

How long will my Dodge be out of action?
