What to expect from a Dodge back glass replacement.

Most back glass is tempered, so one hit can turn the whole pane into small pieces that end up all over the car. It carries wiring too: the defroster grid and, on many cars, the radio antenna.

    Back glass changes with body style and trim. Your VIN tells us which pane your car came with: defroster grid, antenna lines, privacy tint, a hole for the rear wiper, a brake-light mount or a sliding center panel.

  2. Broken glass vacuumed out

    Tempered glass breaks into small cubes that land on the seats, the rear shelf and the trunk or cargo floor, and slip into the seams. We vacuum where it fell before the new glass goes in.

  3. Defroster and antenna tested

    The defroster grid and any antenna lines are printed on the replacement glass. We connect them to your car’s wiring and test them before we leave.

  4. Lifetime workmanship warranty

    Our workmanship and defects in the glass are covered for as long as you own the vehicle, including leaks, wind noise or loose trim caused by our work.

Can you replace the liftgate glass on my Durango?

Yes. We order the liftgate glass for your Durango by VIN, bond it in, reconnect the defroster and close the gate to check the fit before we leave.

My Charger’s back window shattered. Can I still drive it?

Short trips, yes, with care. Tempered glass breaks into small cubes that keep falling, so tape plastic over the opening and keep the trunk or seats covered if rain is due. Send us a photo and we’ll get the right glass on order.

Do I need the back-up camera recalibrated after new rear glass?

Usually not. The camera sits in the trunk lid or liftgate, not on the glass, and the Stellantis requirements I-CAR lists for recent Durangos and Challengers show no calibration for it. We confirm for your car by VIN.

Does insurance cover Dodge rear glass?

Why did my Dodge’s back window shatter on its own?

Tempered back glass carries built-in stress. A stone chip, the body flexing or a quick swing in temperature can be enough to set it off, and sometimes no cause shows up at all. Tape plastic over the opening and send us a photo with the VIN.
