What sets GMC glass apart.
Two Sierras from the same year can leave the plant with different windshields and back glass. Trim and options pick the part, so your VIN is where we start.
The camera gets set up again
GM’s service steps call for setting up the windshield camera after the glass is replaced. On equipped GMC trucks and SUVs, that camera serves Forward Collision Alert, lane keep assist, automatic braking and IntelliBeam.
Head-up display trims
GM’s bulletin covers head-up displays on equipped Sierra 1500 and Yukon models, and GMC now offers one on the Acadia, Canyon and Sierra EV too. GMC’s manual counts the windshield as part of that display.
Sierra sliders come apart
For the Sierra’s power sliding rear window, GM lists the full window and the moving center glass as separate parts. A cracked middle pane doesn’t always mean the whole slider.
Roofs that lift off or never open
Hummer EV pickups and SUVs carry the Infinity Roof, whose modular Sky Panels come out and stow in the eTrunk. The Sierra EV offers a fixed panoramic glass roof instead.

Does a new windshield mean my GMC camera needs calibrating?
On a GMC with a windshield camera, yes in most cases: GM’s service steps call for it after the glass is replaced. Your VIN shows whether the camera is there, and we set it up in the same visit where the procedure can be done on site. GMC ADAS calibration.
Is Sierra glass the same as Silverado glass?
Some of it overlaps: GM’s own program for the power sliding rear window lists the Sierra and the Silverado side by side. Trim, cab and options still change the part, so we order by your Sierra’s VIN rather than by the truck it resembles.
A Sky Panel on my Hummer EV cracked. Can you help?
