GMC windshields

Three things we confirm on a GMC windshield.

We install GMC windshields at homes, job sites and offices across greater Tucson and Phoenix and around Miami, Orlando, Jacksonville, Tampa and West Palm Beach. Before we order, we check what your truck or SUV has mounted on the glass.

  1. A camera that reads the road

    Equipped GMCs carry a camera at the top of the windshield for GMC Pro Safety features. GM asks for that camera to be set up again once the glass is replaced, so we order glass with the matching bracket and book the calibration into the same visit where it can be done on site.

  2. A head-up display needs its own glass

    Sierra, Yukon, Acadia and Canyon trims with a head-up display put speed and alerts on the windshield, and GMC’s manual calls the windshield part of that system. We check for the display before ordering, so the image stays sharp.

  3. A light sensor at the top center

    GMC’s Acadia and Terrain manuals place the IntelliBeam sensor near the top center of the windshield and ask owners to keep that area clear. The replacement glass has to fit the same mount so automatic high beams keep working.

How a windshield replacement goes, from crack to clear glass.

  1. Send us the GMC. Year and model online, by phone or by text. Your VIN tells us which windshield fits and whether a camera calibration comes with it. Using insurance? We go through your policy and help you file your claim.

  2. Old glass out, new glass set. Mon–Sat in your driveway or work lot, we cut the cracked windshield out, prep the pinch weld and set OEM-quality glass in fresh urethane, mounts transferred.

  3. Camera set up before we leave. On a GMC with the windshield camera, we calibrate it during the visit where the procedure can be done on site, and your technician tells you when it’s safe to drive.

    Before we book, we tell you whether your forward camera needs calibrating. When it does, we calibrate it during the same visit, where the procedure can be done on site. If it can’t be, you hear that before anything is scheduled.

  3. Most installs take 30–45 minutes

    At your home, your work or wherever the car is parked. Your technician tells you when it’s safe to drive, because that depends on the adhesive and the weather.

Why is my GMC showing a front camera warning after a windshield swap?

The windshield camera has not been calibrated to the new glass yet, so Pro Safety features like lane keep assist can turn themselves off. We calibrate during our visit where the procedure can be done on site. If a warning appears after our install, call (877) 994-5277.

How much is a GMC windshield?

The price moves with the model, the year and what is on the glass, such as the camera mount or head-up display glass. Your free quote lists it before anything is booked. With insurance, it’s often $0 out of pocket, depending on your policy.

Will Arizona insurance pay for my GMC windshield?

Do I pay a deductible on a GMC windshield in Florida?

My head-up display looks faint. Is it the new windshield?

Check two things first. GMC’s manual says polarized sunglasses can make the image harder to see, and a film on the inside of the glass dulls it. If it still looks wrong after a fresh GMC windshield from us, call (877) 994-5277 and we’ll look at it.

Will my GMC’s IntelliBeam high beams work after a new windshield?

They should. The IntelliBeam sensor sits near the top center of the glass, and the new windshield has to fit that same mount. We move the sensor across, keep that strip clear of stickers and tint, and confirm the system shows no fault before we leave.
