What’s different about a Lexus windshield.

Lexus windshields get replaced in driveways and office lots in Tucson, Phoenix and nearby towns, and in Tampa, Miami, Jacksonville, Orlando and West Palm Beach. On a recent Lexus, the front glass works with the car’s safety systems, so a few details have to match.

  1. A camera calibrated to the glass

    The forward camera behind the windshield feeds Lexus Safety System+. Lexus repair information says the camera is calibrated whenever the windshield is replaced, so we plan that step when you book.

  2. Head-up display versions

    The NX gained an optional head-up display in 2022, and the RX, GX and ES list one on some grades. If yours projects speed onto the glass, it needs the windshield made for that display.

  3. A de-icer for cold-weather trips

    The eighth-generation ES offers a Cold Area Package that includes a windshield wiper de-icer. The VIN tells us if your car has one, so the new glass keeps it working.

  4. Part of the body’s strength

A safety system warning came on after my windshield was replaced. Why?

Usually the forward camera hasn’t been calibrated to the new glass yet, and features like lane tracing may switch off until it is. We calibrate it during our visit where the procedure can be done on site. If a warning shows up after our install, call (877) 994-5277.

How much is a Lexus windshield?

Will my Arizona policy cover a Lexus windshield?
