A newer Lincoln windshield works with two pieces of electronics. The Co-Pilot360 camera clips to a bracket behind the mirror and reads the lane, and most Aviators, along with Navigator builds that have it, project a head-up display onto the glass. Rain sensors, a heated wiper park area and acoustic laminate join them on many Lincoln trims.

Co-Pilot360 camera calibration on a Lincoln
Ford Motor Company's ADAS position statement, which covers Lincoln, mandates calibration of the windshield camera whenever the windshield is replaced. On a Navigator, Aviator, Nautilus or Corsair with Co-Pilot360, lane keeping and pre-collision assist stay unreliable until it is done, so we plan the calibration together with the Lincoln windshield appointment.
Many Lincoln models calibrate dynamically. A scan tool starts the routine and the vehicle is driven above a set speed on roads with sharp lane paint until the camera relearns its position. Aviators with a head-up display may also have the HUD image adjusted.

What drives a Lincoln windshield price
An Aviator windshield built for a head-up display, with heated wiper park and the camera bracket, costs far more than a Town Car or early MKZ pane. The build and the mandated calibration shape the Lincoln price.

Lincoln windshield coverage in Arizona and Florida
In Florida, an Aviator or Nautilus insured for comprehensive gets its windshield deductible waived. Arizona insurers have to offer full glass coverage, and a Lincoln windshield there is paid in full when the owner added that option. We read the Navigator or Aviator policy in a free coverage check before the visit, help with the filing and send the invoice to the insurer.

Your Lincoln windshield visit
After the VIN decode, we come to your driveway or office lot. The mirror trim, camera cover and cowl are removed, the old Aviator or Navigator windshield is cut out, and the HUD or standard glass is set in urethane with the camera bracket in Lincoln's position. The calibration drive follows where the procedure can be done on site, and the safe drive time is given before we leave.
