Maybach builds its rear doors around the passenger. On the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, the small triangular pane was moved out of the rear door into the C-pillar, leaving a single large window, and the GLS 600 adds electric roller sunblinds to its two rear side windows. Door glass work therefore has to respect the blinds and seals around it.
Fragments of tempered glass are cleared from the Maybach door shell and the blind channels before the new pane goes in, then the window and its sunblind are run through their full travel.

Replacing Maybach door glass
