What’s different about an Acura windshield.

Acura drivers in the Phoenix and Tucson areas of Arizona and around Tampa, Orlando, Miami, Jacksonville and West Palm Beach in Florida get the new windshield fitted at home or at work. On most recent Acuras the glass carries more than a view of the road.

  1. The AcuraWatch camera bracket

    Collision braking and lane keeping rely on a camera mounted high on the inside of the windshield. Its bracket comes on the new glass, and Acura’s repair guidance has the camera re-aimed once the windshield is in.

  2. Acoustic layers as standard

    Acura’s press kits list a laminated acoustic windshield on the 2022 MDX, the 2021 TLX, the third-generation RDX and the 2024 ZDX. The replacement keeps that quiet layer.

  3. Head-up display glass on Advance trims

    With the Advance Package, the MDX, RDX and TLX project speed and alerts onto the lower windshield. Acura notes the TLX Advance windshield is built differently because of that display, so we order the version your car came with.

How a windshield replacement goes, from crack to clear glass.

  1. Give us the Acura. Tell us the year and model on the site, by phone or in a text. From the VIN we learn the camera mount, the acoustic layer and whether a head-up display is fitted. Paying with insurance? We check your coverage and help you file your claim.

  2. Out with the cracked glass. Any day Mon–Sat, at home or at work, the cracked windshield is cut out and OEM-quality glass goes onto fresh urethane. A door window stays open until the install is finished, as Acura’s repair notes advise.

  3. Camera re-aimed, keys back. On an Acura with AcuraWatch, the camera is re-aimed before we leave, where the procedure can be done on site. Your technician says when it’s safe to drive.

Why is my lane keeping light on after a windshield swap?

What does an Acura windshield cost?

Does Arizona insurance pay for an Acura windshield?
