Because quarter glass is bonded with urethane, we cut the old pane out, clean and prime the opening and set the new glass, then give the urethane time before the vehicle is driven. Some Chevy quarter panes come with a molded surround attached, which is replaced with the glass.

How Chevrolet quarter glass is replaced
Tape goes on the Tahoe or Traverse paint, the inner trim comes off, and the old pane is sliced out of its urethane. Once the Tahoe or Traverse opening is cleaned and primed, the new pane goes into fresh urethane and the trim is clipped back in place. Because a Suburban or Express pane is bonded, the technician gives you a drive-away time for that adhesive.
