Hyundai back glass

A Hyundai back glass replacement is more than a pane.

We replace Hyundai back glass at homes and workplaces in the Phoenix and Tucson areas of Arizona and the Tampa, Orlando, Miami, Jacksonville and West Palm Beach areas of Florida. On most Hyundais, the rear glass carries wiring or a wiper, and on one truck it slides.

  1. A sliding window on the Santa Cruz

    Hyundai lists a rear sliding glass window on the 2027 Santa Cruz SEL Activity and XRT. The SE has a fixed back window, so the trim decides which part we bring.

  2. Defroster lines on every trim

    A rear window defroster with a timer is standard across the current Tucson, Sonata, Palisade and Ioniq 6. We plug the new glass into the defroster and switch it on before we leave.

  3. Wiper and tint on the SUVs

    The Tucson, Santa Fe and Palisade carry a rear wiper and washer on the liftgate glass. Privacy tint is standard on the Santa Fe and Palisade, while the 2026 Tucson SE goes without it.

Most back glass is tempered, so one hit can turn the whole pane into small pieces that end up all over the car. It carries wiring too: the defroster grid and, on many cars, the radio antenna.

    Back glass changes with body style and trim. Your VIN tells us which pane your car came with: defroster grid, antenna lines, privacy tint, a hole for the rear wiper, a brake-light mount or a sliding center panel.

  2. Broken glass vacuumed out

    Tempered glass breaks into small cubes that land on the seats, the rear shelf and the trunk or cargo floor, and slip into the seams. We vacuum where it fell before the new glass goes in.

  3. Defroster and antenna tested

    The defroster grid and any antenna lines are printed on the replacement glass. We connect them to your car’s wiring and test them before we leave.

  4. Lifetime workmanship warranty

Can you replace the sliding back window on a Santa Cruz?

Yes. We order the sliding window for your trim by VIN, fit it, then check that it opens, closes and seals, and that the defroster works.

My Tucson’s liftgate glass blew out. Can I still drive it?

Tempered rear glass breaks into small pieces that keep dropping from the frame and into the cargo area. Tape plastic over the opening, keep rain out, and send us a photo. We vacuum the pieces when we replace it.

Will insurance pay for Hyundai rear glass?
