A MINI windshield is short and steeply upright, set between the round-eyed nose and the floating roof. On cars with Driving Assistant, a camera is mounted near the glass behind the mirror. MINI ADAS calibration after windshield replacement
MINI Driving Assistant, and Active Driving Assistant on newer cars, watches the road through a camera mounted near the windshield, behind the mirror. Replacing the glass breaks that camera's alignment, so a Hardtop, Countryman or Clubman with the system has its camera calibrated with the new windshield where the procedure can be done on site, by a static or dynamic routine depending on the model.
