Countryman and Cooper Countryman use a large liftgate pane over a proper cargo area, typically heated, commonly with a rear wiper, often with factory privacy tint. The Cooper Paceman is the three-door, lower-roof take on the same platform, with a shorter, more steeply raked pane that is not interchangeable with the Countryman part. On Countryman generations fitted with a center rail between the seats, that rail is a spectacularly effective trap for fragments.
Convertible and Roadster
The Convertible is a four-seat soft top with a heated glass rear window; the Roadster is the two-seat open car on the same idea. On both, the glass travels with the folding top, so fragments end up in the top well, the folding mechanism and the drain channels that keep water out of the cabin.
