Most MINI models, the Hardtop 2 Door, Hardtop 4 Door and Countryman, set heated rear glass into a hatch with a wiper. The Clubman is the exception through 2024: its rear opens through two side-hinged barn doors, and each carries its own heated window, so a broken one is replaced alone.
Rear glass scatters into the MINI cargo area when it breaks, so that is cleared first. Then the hatch or barn-door pane is glued in, its heater tabs are plugged back in and tested, and a Hardtop or Countryman gets its wiper arm back.

A MINI rear glass visit
Glass is vacuumed from the MINI cargo area, the hatch or barn-door trim is lifted, and the old urethane is cut back. Primer, urethane and the new MINI pane follow, then a meter goes across the heater grid and the wiper arm is pressed back onto its spline.
