Both the Rivian R1S and R1T have four doors with framed glass, and the rear door windows are usually darker than the fronts. Because the R1T is a crew-cab pickup and the R1S an SUV, their rear doors and glass are shaped differently, and second-generation R1 models can differ from the first.
When tempered door glass shatters, small cubes fill the bottom of the Rivian door. They are cleared out completely before the new pane is mounted to its regulator and run through its travel.

How Rivian door glass is replaced
Off come the R1S or R1T door card and weather sheet, out come the tempered fragments from the shell, guide and footwell, and the new pane is clamped to its lift mechanism. The window is cycled from top to bottom and the panel is clipped back once it travels and seals properly.
