On the Rivian R1S, a stationary window aft of each back door brightens the third row, and that pane is the quarter glass. The R1T pickup ends its cab at the rear doors, so its glass behind them is the fixed rear cab window rather than a side quarter pane, which we cover on our rear glass page.
No hinge or regulator holds the R1S third-row window, only a urethane bead. Removing it means slicing that bead, priming the pinch weld and pressing the replacement in until its trim lines up with the Rivian roof rail.

Replacing Rivian quarter glass
We protect the R1S third-row seat and paint, unclip the interior trim beside the window and cut the broken pane from its urethane. After cleanup, the flange is primed and the new Rivian window is pressed in and left to cure.
