Toyota back glass

Toyota back window replacement for a few kinds of rear glass.

We replace Toyota back glass on site for drivers in the Phoenix and Tucson areas of Arizona and the Tampa, Orlando, Miami, Jacksonville and West Palm Beach areas of Florida. A 4Runner’s moving rear window, a RAV4 liftgate pane and a Camry’s back glass are each ordered differently.

  1. The 4Runner window that goes down

    Toyota fits a power rear window to every 2025 4Runner, so the glass lowers into the liftgate. That moving pane rides in a track, and after fitting we run it down and up before closing the liftgate.

  2. Power liftgates set their stops again

    The RAV4 Limited, the Sequoia and the 4Runner offer power liftgates. Toyota repair information lists the Power Back Door System among systems that may need initializing after repair, so we cycle the liftgate under power once the glass is in.

  3. Tinted liftgate glass and a camera mirror

    On the 2025 RAV4 Hybrid Woodland Edition the liftgate window is privacy glass, so its replacement comes tinted to match. The Sienna, Prius, Sequoia and Grand Highlander offer a digital rearview mirror, and we check its picture along with the defroster before we go.

Most back glass is tempered, so one hit can turn the whole pane into small pieces that end up all over the car. It carries wiring too: the defroster grid and, on many cars, the radio antenna.

    Back glass changes with body style and trim. Your VIN tells us which pane your car came with: defroster grid, antenna lines, privacy tint, a hole for the rear wiper, a brake-light mount or a sliding center panel.

  2. Broken glass vacuumed out

    Tempered glass breaks into small cubes that land on the seats, the rear shelf and the trunk or cargo floor, and slip into the seams. We vacuum where it fell before the new glass goes in.

  3. Defroster and antenna tested

    The defroster grid and any antenna lines are printed on the replacement glass. We connect them to your car’s wiring and test them before we leave.

  4. Lifetime workmanship warranty

    Our workmanship and defects in the glass are covered for as long as you own the vehicle, including leaks, wind noise or loose trim caused by our work.

My 4Runner’s rear window broke while it was down. Can you fix it?

Yes. We clear the glass from inside the liftgate, fit a new power rear window and run it through its travel before we leave. Keep the window switch off until then, and send us a photo or call (877) 994-5277.

The back glass on my RAV4 shattered. Can I still drive it?

Rear glass is usually tempered, and it keeps dropping small pieces after it breaks, so drive as little as you can. Keep the liftgate closed, tape plastic over the opening if it might rain and text us a picture. Vacuuming the cargo area is part of the install.

Is Toyota rear glass covered by insurance?

Usually under comprehensive. An Arizona policy with the full glass option can cover it. In Florida, plan on the comprehensive deductible applying. We look over your policy and tell you your share before the visit. How insurance works for auto glass.

What does Toyota back glass cost?

Can you replace the back glass on a Toyota Tundra?

Yes. Depending on the grade and options, a Tundra back window can be fixed glass or a sliding unit, so your VIN tells us which part to bring. We clear the glass out of the cab and the bed, fit the new window, and test a slider before we go.
