Toyota moonroof replacement: which roof do you have?

We replace Toyota sunroof and moonroof glass at homes and workplaces in the Phoenix and Tucson areas of Arizona and the Tampa, Orlando, Miami, Jacksonville and West Palm Beach areas of Florida. Toyota builds a few kinds of roof glass, and the VIN tells us which one your car has.

  1. A power moonroof that tilts and slides

    Many Toyotas have a single moonroof panel that tilts and slides on a track. A new panel has to sit flush with the roof and close against the seal without wind noise.

  2. Panoramic roof on equipped RAV4s

    Some RAV4 trims carry a panoramic glass roof whose front section is a power tilt-and-slide moonroof. The front and rear glass are separate pieces, so we confirm which one is broken before we order.

  3. Venza Star Gaze roof

    The 2021–2024 Venza offered a fixed panoramic glass roof that turns from clear to frosted at the press of a button. It doesn’t open, and its glass is unlike a regular sunroof panel, so we quote it by VIN.

  2. Broken panel out, new glass in. At your home or work, Mon–Sat, we lift out the old panel, clear the glass from the track and the cabin, and fit OEM-quality glass.

  3. Tested before we go. A moving panel runs through tilt, slide and close until it sits flush. A fixed pane is set in urethane, and your technician says when it’s safe to drive.

Many sunroofs are tempered glass, which breaks into small pieces all at once. Some panoramic roofs use laminated glass, which cracks but holds together.

  1. OEM-quality glass for your exact roof

    Your VIN tells us which roof the car came with: a tilt-and-slide panel, a moonroof under a sliding shade or a panoramic roof with a fixed rear pane. The new glass matches its shape, tint and mounting points.

  2. Fitted flush, then tested

    A moving panel is bolted to its slide mechanism, set level with the roof and run through tilt, slide and close. A fixed pane is bonded in with urethane.

  3. At your home or work, Mon–Sat

    We bring the glass to where the car is parked. A single tilting panel is a shorter visit than a two-pane panoramic roof, and your quote gives the time for your vehicle.

  4. Lifetime workmanship warranty

    If the install ever leaks or whistles, or the glass has a defect, we come back and make it right, for as long as you own the vehicle.

My RAV4’s panoramic roof cracked. Do you replace the whole roof?

Usually only the broken piece. The front moonroof panel and the rear fixed glass are separate parts, so we confirm which one is damaged and quote that panel.

Can you replace the Star Gaze roof on a Venza?

Send us the VIN and a photo. The Star Gaze roof is a fixed glass panel that switches between clear and frosted, so we check the exact part and its price before anything is booked.

Why did my Toyota sunroof shatter while I was driving?

Many sunroof panels are tempered glass, which breaks into small pieces all at once. A stone, a hard knock or stress in the glass can set it off. Close the shade if you have one, cover the opening if rain is coming, and send us a photo.

Does insurance cover a Toyota sunroof?

Sunroof glass normally goes under the comprehensive part of your policy, and the deductible usually applies. We check your coverage and what you would pay before booking. How insurance works for auto glass.

Can the sunroof glass be replaced without replacing the whole Toyota sunroof?
