Volvo rear glass on tailgates, wagons and the C30
Volvo's XC90, XC60 and XC40 bond heated rear glass into a power tailgate with a wiper, and the V60 and V90 wagons do the same with a longer, lower pane. The C30 hatchback is different: its whole tailgate is a frameless sheet of glass. On the S60 and S90 sedans, the back window is glued in above the decklid and heated by a printed grid.
Broken rear glass scatters across the Volvo cargo floor, so that is vacuumed first. The new pane is bonded or, on a C30, fitted with its tailgate hardware, then the defroster and wiper are reconnected and tested.
XC tailgate glass
On the XC90, XC60 and XC40 the window is glued straight into the powered tailgate.
Wagon rear glass
V60 and V90 tailgates use a long, low pane with a wiper.
C30 glass hatch
The C30's tailgate is one frameless sheet of glass.

What sets a Volvo rear glass price
An XC90 tailgate pane, a V90 wagon window and a C30 glass hatch are very different Volvo parts. The body and year and the hardware involved set the price.
C30 hatch

A Volvo rear glass visit
