Step by step

How to start a Cable Insurance glass claim.

A for-hire vehicle’s glass claim usually runs through the owner or the fleet. Get their go-ahead and the policy details before you call anyone.

  1. Get a price from us

Send the vehicle’s year, make and model with a photo of the windshield, or call (877) 994-5277. The VIN tells us which glass fits.

  2. Report it to Cable

Cable’s Report A Claim page has an online accident report form, and the same page lists its Fort Lauderdale office at (954) 563-3000. The policy papers or the agent work too.

  3. Tell them who’s replacing it

If you’re asked which shop will do the work, give Bang AutoGlass and (877) 994-5277, and share the claim number with the vehicle owner.

  4. We come to you

Monday to Saturday, 8am–6pm, at your home or work. Most windshields take 30–45 minutes, and we bill your insurer directly.

Does Cable Insurance cover windshield replacement in Florida?

Usually, through the comprehensive part of your Cable Insurance auto policy; a liability-only policy doesn’t pay for your own glass. In Florida, the deductible doesn’t apply to windshield damage on a policy with comprehensive coverage. We check your policy before booking.

What kind of insurer is Cable Insurance Company?

Florida’s insurance regulator describes Cable Insurance Company as a Fort Lauderdale insurer covering for-hire vehicles such as taxis, limousines and shuttles. Its policies are commercial auto policies.

How do I report a claim to Cable?

Cable’s website has a Report A Claim page with an online form, and it lists one office number, (954) 563-3000, rather than a separate glass line. The fleet owner or the agent who placed the policy can also start it.

Does Florida’s windshield deductible rule apply?

Florida’s rule says the deductible doesn’t apply to windshield damage on a motor vehicle policy with comprehensive coverage. Whether a commercial policy carries that coverage is in its own terms, so check with the owner, the agent or Cable.

Who can approve the replacement?

Usually the vehicle’s owner or the fleet that holds the policy. Have their OK before booking, and we coordinate the visit with whoever they name.

Will a glass claim change the fleet’s premium?

Ask Cable or the agent who placed the policy. Commercial pricing depends on the company and the account; we can’t predict it. More on glass claims and your rate.
