GEICO policies in Arizona

A.R.S. § 20-264 requires insurers writing private passenger comprehensive coverage to offer full-glass coverage without a deductible. The policyholder must elect it. It is not automatic.

Under A.R.S. § 20-469, an Arizona insured may choose a glass repair facility unless the policy contract says otherwise.

GEICO policies in Florida

Under Fla. Stat. § 627.7288, Florida's windshield deductible does not apply when the policy has comprehensive or combined additional coverage. The rule does not cover door, rear, quarter, or sunroof glass.

Fla. Stat. § 627.7291 says a person may not require a particular company or location for covered Florida personal-lines windshield claims. An insured may have accepted a policy with a windshield repair arrangement, so check the policy terms.

How do I start a GEICO glass claim, and which number do I need?

Report the broken glass through GEICO's app, website, or the claim line listed in step 2. GEICO will ask for basic loss details, such as when and where the damage happened and what occurred. Keep the claim number GEICO gives you. If GEICO gives you another referral or reference number, save that too and share it when you call Bang AutoGlass.

Will a deductible apply to my GEICO windshield claim?

In Arizona, A.R.S. § 20-264 gives you no deductible on covered windshield, door and window glass only if you elected the full-glass option; otherwise your comprehensive deductible applies. Under Fla. Stat. § 627.7288, Florida's windshield deductible does not apply with comprehensive or combined additional coverage. That Florida rule covers the windshield only, so door, rear, quarter and sunroof glass keep the normal deductible.

Can GEICO require me to use a certain glass shop?

In Arizona, A.R.S. § 20-469 lets you choose a glass facility unless the policy contract says otherwise. Under Fla. Stat. § 627.7291, Florida bars an insurer or its representative from requiring a particular company or location for a covered personal-auto windshield claim.
