Does my windshield need ADAS recalibration, and is that separate?+
If your vehicle has a camera mounted behind the windshield — common on newer Toyota, Ford, Nissan, Kia and Chevrolet models with Safety Sense, Co-Pilot360, ProPILOT or similar driver-assist packages — then yes, the camera has to be recalibrated after the glass is replaced. It is performed as part of the same visit and shows on the claim as its own line item. We confirm from the VIN rather than the model name, because the same year and model can be built with or without the camera.
