Step by step

How to start a MAPFRE glass claim.

MAPFRE lists more than one company in Florida, and each has its own number. Look at the company name on your ID card before you call.

  1. Get the windshield priced

Call (877) 994-5277 or send the vehicle and a photo of the crack. We pull the right glass by VIN and read your MAPFRE coverage with you.

  2. Report it to MAPFRE

Use Report a Claim on mapfreinsurance.com, or call the number MAPFRE lists for your company: 1-888-962-7373 for MAPFRE Insurance Company of Florida. Your agent can also report it.

  3. Name us as your glass shop

If MAPFRE asks who will replace the glass, say Bang AutoGlass, (877) 994-5277. Write down the claim number it gives you.

  4. We come to you

Monday to Saturday, 8am–6pm, at your home or work. Most windshields take 30–45 minutes, and we bill your insurer directly.

Does MAPFRE cover windshield replacement in Arizona and Florida?

Usually, through the comprehensive part of your MAPFRE auto policy; a liability-only policy doesn’t pay for your own glass. In Arizona, the windshield skips the deductible only if you chose full glass coverage. In Florida, the deductible doesn’t apply to windshield damage on a policy with comprehensive coverage. We check your policy before booking.

Which MAPFRE number do I call in Florida?

MAPFRE’s contact page lists two companies under Florida: MAPFRE Insurance Company of Florida at 1-888-962-7373 and MAPFRE Insurance Company at 1-877-627-3731. The company printed on your ID card tells you which one is yours.

Can I report a MAPFRE glass claim online?

Yes. MAPFRE’s auto claims page links to an online Report a Claim form and a page for sending claim documents. It also says you can call your insurance agent instead.

Will my MAPFRE windshield claim carry a deductible?

On an Arizona policy, a windshield skips the deductible only if you chose full glass coverage. On a Florida policy with comprehensive, the deductible doesn’t apply to windshield damage. We look at your coverage before booking.

Can MAPFRE make me use a certain glass shop?

In Arizona you can choose any glass shop unless your policy contract says otherwise. In Florida, on a personal auto policy, an insurer may not require a particular company for windshield work; if you took a discount for a set repair arrangement, read that part of your policy. More on who picks the glass shop.

Does a glass claim raise MAPFRE rates?

Ask MAPFRE or your agent. Rating depends on the company and the policy, and we can’t forecast it. More on glass claims and your rate.
