Step by step

How to start a Philadelphia Indemnity glass claim.

Glass claims at Philadelphia Insurance Companies run on their own phone line, apart from its main claims desk. The order below keeps both the policy and the visit straight.

  1. Ask us to quote it

Give us the year, make and model and where the glass broke, or call (877) 994-5277. We identify the windshield by VIN and go through the Philadelphia Indemnity policy with you.

  2. Call the auto glass line

Philadelphia Insurance Companies lists 877-443-9893 for auto glass claim reporting. Other losses go to 1-800-765-9749, by email to its claims inbox, or through Report a Claim on phly.com.

  3. Give our name for the work

When the glass line asks where the vehicle will be serviced, answer Bang AutoGlass and (877) 994-5277. Hold on to the file number it assigns.

  4. We come to you

Monday to Saturday, 8am–6pm, at your home or work. Most windshields take 30–45 minutes, and we bill your insurer directly.

Does Philadelphia Indemnity cover windshield replacement in Arizona and Florida?

Usually, through the comprehensive part of your Philadelphia Indemnity auto policy; a liability-only policy doesn’t pay for your own glass. In Arizona, the windshield skips the deductible only if you chose full glass coverage. In Florida, the deductible doesn’t apply to windshield damage on a policy with comprehensive coverage. We check your policy before booking.

What number do I call for a Philadelphia Indemnity glass claim?

phly.com lists 877-443-9893 for auto glass claim reporting, separate from the main claims line. That main line, 1-800-765-9749, is staffed 8:30am to 8pm Eastern on weekdays and also takes after-hours claims.

What happens after the claim is reported?

Philadelphia Insurance Companies says it assigns a file number when a loss is reported. If you report in writing rather than by phone, it says it will contact you to confirm receipt and name your servicing representative.

Does the deductible apply to a windshield?

In Florida, the deductible doesn’t apply to windshield damage on a policy with comprehensive coverage. In Arizona, a personal auto policy depends on whether full glass coverage was elected; a business policy follows its own glass terms. We check before booking.

Can I have Bang AutoGlass replace it?

Ask for us when you report. In Arizona you can choose any glass shop unless your policy contract says otherwise. Florida’s rule on steering applies to personal auto policies; a business policy sets its own terms on the shop.

Could a glass claim raise what we pay?

That’s a question for Philadelphia Insurance Companies or your agent. Rating rules vary by company and policy, and we don’t predict them.
