Ford quarter glass, fixed and removable
Most Ford quarter glass is a fixed pane bonded into the body behind the rear doors, as on the Escape, Explorer and Expedition, where it lines the cargo area or third row. The Bronco is the exception: its modular hardtops have rear quarter windows that are made to be removed and refitted by hand, without taking the roof panels off.
Bonded Ford quarter glass is cut out of its urethane, and the opening is cleaned and primed before the new pane is set, so it needs time before driving. A Bronco hardtop quarter window is handled as a removable panel, and we check its latches and seal after fitting it.

What changes a Ford quarter glass quote

Ford quarter glass, step by step
For bonded glass we tape the paint, remove the interior trim, cut the old Ford pane from its urethane, clean and prime the opening and set the new glass. For a Bronco hardtop window we fit the new removable panel and check the latches and seal. The technician tells you when a bonded pane is ready for driving.
