Genesis windshields do two jobs beyond keeping the weather out. The Front View camera behind the mirror reads lane lines and traffic for Highway Driving Assist and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, and GV80, G80 and G90 builds with a head-up display throw speed, navigation and driver-assist status onto the glass in front of the driver.

Genesis ADAS calibration after windshield replacement
Highway Driving Assist and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist on a Genesis look through the Front View camera behind the mirror. Genesis lists that camera for calibration whenever the windshield is removed or replaced, so a GV80, GV70, G80 or G90 gets the calibration with its new glass, and HUD cars get the projected image checked as well.

Coverage for Genesis glass replacement
A GV70 or G80 windshield under Florida comprehensive coverage is replaced without the deductible. Arizona insurers have to offer full glass coverage, and a Genesis windshield there is paid in full once the owner has added it to the policy.
