The Genesis windshield and what it supports
Genesis windshields do two jobs beyond keeping the weather out. The Front View camera behind the mirror reads lane lines and traffic for Highway Driving Assist and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, and GV80, G80 and G90 builds with a head-up display throw speed, navigation and driver-assist status onto the glass in front of the driver.
The VIN shows whether your Genesis was built with HUD glass, which camera bracket it carries, and its rain sensor and shade band. Ordering by VIN keeps the head-up image single and sharp and puts the Front View camera back where Genesis aimed it.

Front View camera calibration on a Genesis
Genesis glass replacement requirements say the Front View camera needs calibration if the windshield is removed or replaced. That camera runs Highway Driving Assist, lane following and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist on the GV80, GV70, G80, G90 and GV60, so the calibration is booked with your Genesis windshield and any extra stop is flagged in advance.
Genesis calibration runs through a scan tool with the procedure for that model. On HUD cars, once the camera is done, the projected image is checked from the driver's seat, and the height is adjusted in the Genesis HUD menu if the new glass moved it.

What sets a Genesis windshield price
A G90 windshield with HUD, the Front View camera mount and a rain sensor is one of the pricier Genesis parts, while an early G70 pane is simpler. The VIN build and the calibration that follows decide the Genesis price.

Genesis windshield coverage in Arizona and Florida
A GV70 or G80 windshield under Florida comprehensive coverage is replaced without the deductible. Arizona insurers have to offer full glass coverage, and a Genesis windshield there is paid in full once the owner has added it to the policy. Your Genesis windshield appointment
With the VIN decoded, we meet the Genesis at home or at work. The mirror cover, camera shroud and cowl are removed, the cracked GV80 or G80 windshield is sliced out of its urethane, and the new glass is set with the camera bracket in Genesis' spot. Front View calibration follows where the procedure can be done on site, the HUD is checked, and you get the safe drive time.
