Genesis door glass on SUVs and sedans
Genesis builds its door glass into framed doors across the range, from the GV80 and GV70 SUVs to the G70, G80 and G90 sedans. The SUVs usually carry privacy tint on the rear door glass, and the long G90 rear doors take some of the largest side windows Genesis makes. The electric GV60 has door glass of its own shape.
Tempered side glass bursts into small cubes that settle in the bottom of the Genesis door and the window channel. All of it is vacuumed out before the replacement is bolted to the regulator, so the glass slides smoothly and seals at the top.

How Genesis door glass is replaced
The trim panel and weather sheet come off the Genesis door, and broken glass is cleared from inside the door, the channel and the cabin floor. The new pane is fastened to the regulator, cycled top to bottom, and the auto up limits are relearned before the panel clips back on.
