What’s different about Tesla door glass replacement.

We replace Tesla side windows in driveways, garages and parking lots across the Phoenix and Tucson areas of Arizona and the Tampa, Orlando, Miami, Jacksonville and West Palm Beach areas of Florida. The window’s fit matters as much as the glass, so the adjustment is part of the job.

  1. Windows that dip when the door opens

    On a Model 3 or Model Y the glass drops slightly as you open the door and rises to seal when it shuts. Tesla’s own advice for a window that rubs the trim or drops too far is to run it up, down and up again until the motor stalls, and we do that after fitting.

  2. Height and angle are set by hand

    Tesla’s Model 3 procedure sets the new pane’s height at the guide blocks and its angle at the regulator, then checks the gap and flush against the body. A pane that sits a little off will whistle or catch the seal.

  3. Model X: glass in the falcon wing doors

    The front doors on a Model X are conventional, but the rear doors open upward and carry their own upper glass as well as a lower window. Tell us which pane broke and we order that one.

  4. Quieter glass on newer Model 3 cars

    With the refreshed Model 3, Tesla moved acoustic glass from the front windows only to the rear side windows and back window too. Your VIN shows which version the car has.

Most door windows are tempered glass. When one breaks, it bursts into small cubes, and a lot of them fall down inside the door. Until it’s replaced, the car is open to theft and the weather.

  1. OEM-quality glass for your exact door

    Front or rear, driver or passenger: each door takes its own glass, in the tint shade your car came with. Some cars use laminated or frameless door glass, and we confirm which yours has before we book.

  2. Broken glass vacuumed out

    We take the inside door panel off and vacuum the glass out of the door, then clean the seat, the floor and the door pocket. Pieces left inside a door can rattle as you drive and scratch the new window.

  3. Replaced where the car is parked

    At home, at work or in a parking garage, so nobody drives a Tesla around with a hole in the door. The pane for your VIN is ordered first, and we book the visit once we know when it lands.

  4. Lifetime workmanship warranty

    Our workmanship and defects in the glass are covered for as long as you own the vehicle, and warranty visits come to you too.

My Tesla window rubs the trim after it was replaced. Is that normal?

No. Tesla lists that as a reason to recalibrate the window: raise it until the motor stops, lower it fully, then raise it again. If it still rubs after a couple of tries, call (877) 994-5277 and we’ll come back and adjust it.

Can you replace the glass in a Model X falcon wing door?

Yes. Those doors hold an upper pane and a lower window, and they are separate parts. A photo of the damage helps us order the right one.

How soon can my Tesla side window be fixed?

As soon as the pane for your VIN is in stock. We give you its expected date when you get the quote. In the meantime, tape plastic over the opening and keep the car out of the rain.

Does insurance pay for a broken Tesla window?

Comprehensive coverage usually does, and your deductible generally applies on door glass. We check the policy with you and confirm your share before the visit.

Can you replace just the glass in a Tesla door?
