Nationwide policies in Arizona

A.R.S. § 20-264 requires insurers writing private passenger comprehensive coverage to offer full-glass coverage without a deductible. The policyholder must elect it. It is not automatic.

Under A.R.S. § 20-469, an Arizona insured may choose a glass repair facility unless the policy contract says otherwise.

Nationwide policies in Florida

Under Fla. Stat. § 627.7288, Florida's windshield deductible does not apply when the policy has comprehensive or combined additional coverage. The rule does not cover door, rear, quarter, or sunroof glass.

Fla. Stat. § 627.7291 says a person may not require a particular company or location for covered Florida personal-lines windshield claims. An insured may have accepted a policy with a windshield repair arrangement, so check the policy terms.

Nationwide windshield claim questions

How do I start a Nationwide glass claim, and which number should I save?
Use the Nationwide channel listed in step 2 and choose the glass claim path. Nationwide says it asks for your vehicle year, make and model, then has you choose a service date, time and place. Save the referral number it gives you. Bang AutoGlass can use that number while helping you file the claim.
Will I owe a deductible on a Nationwide windshield replacement?
Under Fla. Stat. § 627.7288, Florida's windshield deductible does not apply when the policy provides comprehensive or combined additional coverage. The rule is for the windshield only; other glass keeps the normal deductible. In Arizona, A.R.S. § 20-264 provides no-deductible coverage for windshield, door and window glass only if you elected the full-glass option. Otherwise, your comprehensive deductible applies.
Can Nationwide require me to use a certain glass shop?
In Arizona, A.R.S. § 20-469 lets you choose a glass facility unless your policy contract says otherwise. Under Fla. Stat. § 627.7291, Florida generally bars requiring a particular company or location for a covered windshield claim, though your policy may include a windshield repair arrangement you accepted. Tell Nationwide which shop you chose before authorizing work.
Does a Nationwide glass claim include ADAS calibration?
Nationwide does not state that every glass claim includes ADAS calibration. If your vehicle requires it, confirm coverage and claim steps with Nationwide.
